  4. * THIS EDITOR EDITS THE BULK DUMP--
  5.   NOT THE PATCH IN THE EDIT BUFFER!

  7.   MIDIVERB doesn't support Patch SysX.
  8.  
  9.   This dump contains all editable
  10.   parameters--including patches.
  11.  
  12.  
  13. * After each edit, the entire file is
  14.   sent back to the MIDIVERB. Although
  15.   the MIDIVERB takes a leisurely 10
  16.   seconds to store the data, it is
  17.   safe to continue editing.
  18.  
  19.  
  20. *  Always Begin Editing by changing  *
  21. *  the patch no; this will activate  *
  22. *  the pointer to the correct patch. *
  23. * ---------------------------------- *
  24. *  Otherwise, you will be editing    *
  25. *  the wrong patch! (probably # 100) *

  28. * Because the MIDIVERB wasn't designed
  29.   to be edited externally,
  30.  
  31.   --- AUDITIONING IS PROBLEMATIC. ---

  33. - After editing, watch the MIDIVERB's
  34.   display.
  35.  
  36. - Look out for the Edit mode's DOT
  37.   after the No. You don't want it!
  38.  
  39.   When --- changes to the Patch No.,
  40.  
  41. - Press MIDIVERB's "PROGRAM" Button.
  42.  
  43. - Use the "VALUE" buttons to increase
  44.   or decrease the patch no. (by 1).
  45.  
  46. - Then, restore the original patch no.
  47.  
  48.   (This will load the patch into the
  49.   Active/Edit buffer for auditioning.)
  50.  
  51. - Use a Synth or Drum machine to send
  52.   AUDIO through the MIDIVERB.

  55. * The "Send Program Change" gadgets
  56.   can accomplish the same thing,
  57.  
  58.   but REMEMBER, that they send only
  59.   standard program changes (0-127).
  60.  
  61. * Editable Patches on the MIDIVERB
  62.   range from 100-199. This means that:
  63.  
  64.   you will have to use MIDI Mapping
  65.   functions for this to work well.
  66.  
  67. * The Green button retransmits the
  68.   patch no. set above it.
  69.  
  70. * BEWARE, the MIDIVERB doesn't always
  71.   catch all of the program changes.

  74. * If the MIDIVERB gets stuck in EDIT
  75.   mode, you will have to:
  76.  
  77.   use the "PROGRAM" and "VALUE"
  78.   Buttons on the machine to exit and
  79.   reenter the patch (as above).

  81. * This will not affect your edits.
  82.  
  83. * To test the external Real-Time MIDI-
  84.   -Controlled MODULATION, use the same
  85.   audition method as above, but you
  86.   must also have the MIDI Controllers
  87.   cabled (merged) to the MIDIVERB.

  89. * Don't forget that this is NOT just a 
  90.   patch editor. RESTORE ALL will wipe
  91.   out ALL of your work!
